Happy March and St. Patrick's Day to you all. Winter is almost behind us and spring will be here before you know it. (Everybody stocked up with allergy medicine?)

I also wanted to mention our renewed support for Open Heart Kitchen. As most of you know, OHK is an inter-faith organization that provides nutritious meals free of charge to hungry people in need in the TriValley area. They are the only free meal service of its kind in the area and have served hundreds of thousands of meals since 1995. At the end last year OHK almost almost had to close its doors for good. A last ditch effort by this fantastic community of Livermore has kept their doors open.
Open Heart Kitchen is near and dear to my heart. Our office (with the help of many of you!) has been able to make contributions in the past i.e. Candy Buy Back Program, Christmas in July donations, etc. However, my fantastic team and I have made a commitment to step up and help Open Heart Kitchen with a sustained effort throughout 2009. We are going to work with the LARPD, the schools, Livermore Downtown and Farmer's Market with a variety of programs to provide money, food and time to this worthy organization.
